 SERVICES FOR BUSINESSES

We cover the full range of planning services, from changes of use to major new builds.
 Site Scoping/
Pre-application

We provide an initial report on your site's potential for development, based on the planning constraints, planning history and current local planning policies. We also cover whether your proposed works would constitute permitted development, if appropriate. The initial report will provide you with clear advice on options going forward and how best to proceed. This can be a desktop appraisal or include a site visit if the site is located within the Sussex area.

We can also formally submit the proposal to the relevant local planning authority on your behalf, through the pre-application process. This is advisable for large scale development proposals.

It is advisable to involve us at this scoping/design stage so that the proposal has a better chance of success at the application stage. Please contact us for a free no obligation quote.

Planning Application

We provide a comprehensive planning service, supporting the planning application with a thorough and high quality planning statement that focuses on the positive attributes your proposed development will bring.

Once the application is submitted we make contact with the planning officer and can arrange and attend meetings on your behalf.

If the application is to be determined by the Planning Committee, we can make contact with the local councillors and residents and speak on your behalf at the committee meeting itself.

Post-Application

Following a successful application, we can coordinate the discharge of conditions attached to the permission and submit the building control application on your behalf, collating the relevant information from the project team and liaising with the appropriate council departments.

Should you wish to submit an appeal against a decision to refuse an application, SC Planning can provide a comprehensive appeal service, covering written representations, informal hearings and public inquiries.
