Services for Homeowners

SERVICES FOR HOMEOWNERS

We cover any planning service a homeowner could need, whether your proposal is for a small extension, an annexe, or a new dwelling.
 Site Scoping/
Pre-application

We provide an initial report on the chances of success of your proposal, based on the site's planning constraints, planning history and current local planning policies. This will also cover permitted development rights. The initial report will provide you with clear advice on how best to proceed.

This can be a desktop appraisal or include a site visit if the site is located within the Sussex area. A site visit is particularly recommended for Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas.

It is advisable to involve us at this scoping/design stage so that the proposal has a better chance of success at the application stage. Please contact us for a free no obligation quote.

Planning Application

We provide a comprehensive planning service, supporting the planning application with a thorough and high quality planning statement that focuses on the positive attributes your proposed development will bring.

We also advise on the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and whether your development will be subject to this fee.

Once the application is submitted we make contact with the planning officer and can arrange and attend meetings on your behalf.

If the application is to be determined by the Planning Committee, we can make contact with the local councillors and residents and speak on your behalf at the committee meeting itself.

Post-Application

Following a successful application, we can advise on conditions that are attached to the permission and assist you in addressing these conditions which may need to be carried out prior to commencing your development. We can also submit the building control application on your behalf.

Should the application be refused, we can advise on whether to re-submit the application with amendments or whether an appeal is the best option. We provide written statements and can represent you at informal hearings or public inquiries.
